FVD Brombacher – What sets us apart? TÜV inspection video’s.

With so many modification choices on the market, what set’s FVD Brombacher apart? One of the many reason's is our quality. The fact of the matter is that modifications designed and built in many countries are not subject to being tested. As a German tuner we must pass some very stringent test's in order to sell our parts. Those test’s are conducted by TÜV Rheinland.

So your asking yourself what kind of testing is done on German aftermarket products? Here are some video’s that will help you understand what the German public must go through in order to modify with aftermarket parts. The video’s below are in German but you will enjoy seeing how stringent these test’s are.

VIDEO: This gentleman just lowered his Opel and put wheels on it, look at what he has to go thru in order to drive his car on the streets...

VIDEO: This individual purchase some american made parts and is now trying to have them TUV approved...

VIDEO: Last but not least, this is just a regular inspection...

Keep in mind these are just street car certifications for individuals, the test's are far more stringent in order to manufacture and sell aftermarket product's!

FVD’s exhaust products must pass these criteria in order to obtain the TÜV stamp of approval:

Corrosion Test – Exterior metal parts (ie exhaust, brakes, rims, etc.) must undergo a HCL (Hydrocloric Acid) bath, which speeds up the corrosion process. This ensures long lasting, highly durable parts which benefit the end consumer.

Extreme Temperature Test – Items are put through –40 degree’s Fahrenheit to + 185 degrees Fahrenheit sudden temperature change. This test ensures that material expansion and contraction does not cause cracking or material inconsistency.

Material Analysis – Chemical and Microscopic material analysis is done to determine the correct percentages of Iron, Zinc and many other elements. This also ensures material consistency and longevity.

Exhaust Temperature Test – Exhaust items are also put through a series of extremely high temperature tests in order to assure the consumer that parts can withstand cracking and splitting. Test temperatures exceed 2,552 degree’s Fahrenheit (1,400 degree’s Celcius)!! For reference normal exhaust gas temperatures are only 800 – 1,000 degree’s Fahrenheit.

German quality control is the most strict in the world and individual's that buy our product's can be assured that they are durable, long lasting, safer for the environment and will be exactly what they claim.

Thanks,
Rhonda

Mike,

In which video? I will have a co-worker translate for you. It is really incredible to see the extent that the TUV goes for a single modification though.
