Oil Leak from plug at valve cover next to sending unit?
Trying to help a friend, who is not yet a 6speeder:
What might this mean on a Service Invoice:
"Oil leak coming from plug in valve cover next to the oil pressure sending unit. Inspected engine and found passenger side of engine covered in dirt and oil. Cleaned engine and powder checked. Found source of leak: oil passage plug next to sending unit.
Removed exhaust and passenger side valve cover. Sent valve cover to machine shop to have passage re-sealed. Re-installed cover. Ran engine and re-inspected. Oil leak no longer present. Vehicle operating to MFG specs."
Is this related to RMS or IMS?

nope, I think is one of those metal plugs that are placed on the machined holes of the top of the engine.
They don't send anything to a machine shop when fixing the IMS or RMS.
--- I think ---
