They should be able to tell the difference. The stock cats are HUGE vs. the AWE cats.

 

Oh yes they are. Take a look at the AWE Cats on their website, then look under your car. Quite obvious difference visually.

Is it just a visual thing or is the tube going into and out from the CAT barrel seem smaller on the AWE?

 

The AWE is the one on top. I think the AWE tubes are slightly larger diameter than stock.

not yet, but I probably will. I want to see how much louder it is with just the CATs first.

 

The headers will not make your car sound louder, it just changes the tone

I first added X51 Headers to my PSE. And then I purchased AWE Cats & Mufflers, now I am upgrading my X51 Headers to AWE Headers.

There's $900 that went down the toilet!

 

Thank you for the input. I think I'm going to go with AWE headers. I don't know about changing out the mufflers yet b/c I like my PSE button.

 

I loved the sound of my OEM set up. But I wanted to switch to lighter exhaust set up

I saved 18 lbs. just by switching to AWE Mufflers

 

Not really, you can always sell the X51s here on 6speed.
