Can't decide? Do what I did, buy a set of cheap takeoffs from someone and have them powdercoated black. Mine even came with a set of good used Michelin PS2 tires for $1,000.00. This way is you ever want to go back to the original look you'll have the silver set as well.

I say keep them silver on the green. I don't know how well the black and green would blend together, at least IMO.

Rditri, Thanks for the sound advice. How much does it cost to get wheels powder coated?

I have the OEM sport wheels for sale (Not the Sport Design) with some very small curbings. The problem on OEM wheels is the finish can not be polished and the fix reqires painting clear coat.

Powder coating them will make them new again. And I do not expect to get near as much money for the wheels as non-curbed ones.

I can take pictures if you are interested.

You will have a one-of-a-kind green and black. If you can use Photoshop just select the wheels and tweak the channels to make them black.

This is the wheel set I have. They are OEM, 20k miles.

The picture is not of my car, it is just to be sure you know what style the y are.

I am trying to get 100 posts to list them in the marketplace. Sorry for the hijack...

powdercoating wheels

my 09 Carrera with 19" S wheels...powdercoated matte finish with Porsche logo center caps painted.powdercoating is much more durable than paint and is much cheaper than aftermarket wheels. I had mine done in a 1 week turnaround in a local South Florida performance shop and love the look. $800 including labor and painting centercap, you can't beat it!!!!

Much more aggressive stance and easier to clean, don't show dirt nearly as much as factory wheels did. I also added Techart black chrome quad exhaust tips from Suncoast and love the look. OLf course, tint is almost required, especially where I live......................

One before pic included, when I had the clear bra installed.................
