I tried wrapping my TA's with matte black and I think the extreme heat on the wheels messed up the sticker, and it just did not last. So eventually I had to paint my wheels. So dont wrap the wheels!

Are there any panels that have seams where it was too large to use a single sheet of vinyl?

I'd be interested in knowing what the original color of the car was, as well - how does it look when your door/trunk/hood is open, etc.

xbar, there are no seams on the door or anywhere else. The vinyl comes 60" wide, which allow us to do most installs without seams.

 

it looks like the car was black to begin with. that's why there are a few portions that are still black (i.e roof and part of the door handles). It provides nice contrast

 

The roof looks like he used a Matte Black Vinyl..

 

The roof is matte black (meaning it was covered) and the inside of the door handle could have easily been covered whatever color the owner wanted.

That said, I wouldn't be surprised if the original color was black. I too have a black car and want to go matte white...

Yes, the other cars is GOMEZ's 997S.

Mobonic and Gomez are both friends of mine and these guys are as fanatical about porsche's as they come!

Every time I talked to them they are either at the track or getting ready to go to the track!
