Aftermarket Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems

Does anyone use an aftermarket TPMS with their pre-2008 (when it was required on all cars) 997?

What kit did you use and how did you mount the display? One kit I am interested in is the Schrader 20257.

It's display is small enough to fit in the cubby in front of the gear shift.

Another nice unit is the Orange Electronic P409S, but fitting its larger display may be more of a challenge.

I have the Orange Electronic unit in my 05 997S. I leave it sitting flat in the cubby in front of the shifter. Even from the pictures, I think its display is smaller than the Shrader unit.

Could you post a pic please? Are you satisfied with this system? Did you hardwire it or use the plug...or is yours the battery version?

I like the system because the display is very small. I do find that the pressure reading is 2 PSI lower than the actual tire pressure. I simply plug it into the cigarette outlet.
