looking out your rear view mirror

Have you ever noticed the looks you get out the rear view mirror when people are looking at your back end and talking and pointing and sometimes they even try to follow you when you change lanes ??
Then they get to the side of your car and look straight ahead ??
Fun Stuff !!!

I've raised the spoiler when people are checking out my rear.

I love that kids give me thumbs up. I walked out toward my car one night to find a kid about 12 years old checking out my car from all angles while his dad stood watching. I started and revved it up a little after talking to the kid for a bit. That was me once upon a time...

The 911 continues to find its fans in the new generations. Less than before, percentage-wise, because there's more people and many youngsters these days just take cars for granted as A-to-B transportation. But there are still some who know about the romance of the road.

I love that ad. Some cars are like that until you own them. Then the gloss wears off and you move on to something else.

Me, I still feel like that kid everytime I get in to drive it. Maybe that's the difference.

I couldn't agree more. The car has that rare quality that makes each drive, each day of ownership better than the day or drive prior. The experience hasn't done anything but improve each day I've owned the car.

Great ad!!

Been driving Pcars for over 30 years (on and off) and can't wait to get behind the wheel each and every time. I remember when I was that kid at the 197x NY Auto Show and drooling over the Porsches.

I am like a kid in the candy store every time I get in and go for a ride. Since I don't get to drive it too much (actually, my choice), every time I do is like the first time. Love the feeling!

As for onlookers, yeah, I get that too, those that follow closely for a spell, to look, then pass me by.

What I find most amusing, and somewhat dangerous IMHO, is when on a 2 lane interstate driving in the right lane and an onlooker in the left lane riding in the blind spot to check out the car in 3/4 view. If I position myself to see out the driver side mirror, I can see them looking at the car - pointing to wheels or red calipers. As long as I know they are there I guess its ok, but have to be extra careful when changing lanes.

Always love to watch that commercial.
Around his age I lusted after a new TR3, MGA and later a Jag XK150.
First 911, New 71T, sold the 67 Vette.
Have never been without one since.

I was walking out of the Quizno's sandwich store to my car one Sunday afternoon and 3 little kids followed their father into the store. One of them, about 7 or 8, turned around and yelled, "Mister, that's a very nice car!".

It made my day

First time I ever got in a Porsche was when I was about 12. My grandpa's friend had a new 928S. The guy let me go out and start it up. I remember it was a baby blue color w/ black gauges.

If they ever come out with a Panamera coupe (a.k.a. 928), I may have to switch up.

I do notice this. Last night a hot girl in the passenger seat of a Chevy Cobalt was staring at it as she and her girlfriend drove by, then they were checking me out. It's the car I guess.
