997.2 C4S PASM are all 3cms lower?

A quick question

My 2009C4S Manual has the sport chrono + and default PASM. shouldn't this config be equal to an automatic 3cms decrease in ride height?

Or have i missed an option?

My car doesn't look any lower than stock

thanks

Regular PASM on the 4S model is 10mm lower than the 4. Sport PASM on the 4S is 10mm lower than regular PASM (and 20mm lower than the non-S).

N.American PASM is way up in the air.....I'm convinced higher than Euro.
I dropped wife's 09 Cab PASM another full 20mm, w/Damtronics.

My understanding is stock is stock.
PASM is 10mm lower than stock.
SPASM is 20mm lower than stock.

(there is no difference in the S vs base in suspension height). (997.2)

Is the suspension permanently lowered if you have PASM or SPASM on your car? Or it only lowers if it is activated by the Sport button on the dash?

I have Sport PASM which also included LSD. Sport PASM is even lower than PASM.

so if you get Damptronics installed(assume you dropped it 20 mm's) and push sport button and keep PASM on, does this drop the car another 20mm even after the car has already been dropped from coilover install????

Nope. Suspension height is fixed. (Unless you get the front end lift on a new GT3).

Its fixed.

The height is lowered to the level that works well with the particular suspension system installed. The stock needs stock height, due to how it moves (compresses and uncompresses); the PASM system can get by with a lower ride, because of its adaptive nature. The Sport PASM system can get by with an even lower ride since its a generally stiffer suspension than PASM.

Correct. The only available dynamic height adjustment comes in the new GT3's for their front end lift to avoid driveways...etc.

Your PASM/SPASM alteration is purely for compression and rebound in the shock itself which is an electric trigger. That is done by altering the valving, rerouting the internales....and no height adjustment takes place. As you would observe, greatly "tightens" both R&C.

Your springs define the ride height of the car, the shock system defines how it is controlled, again thru compression and rebound.
