Well, the bass really is not 'thick.' Honestly, the bass in my factory Accord stereo is thicker. I will say that the non-bose stereo is good enough if you turn up the bass and volume a bit. The speaker placement is fairly decent in the 911, and that gives you a good sound stage. If you want thick bass you might be disappointed.
