My wind deflector just arrived after purchase from Suncoast. I'm confused about the black canvas bag that came with it. Looks like it is supposed to be slung over a spare tire which my 997.1 C4 doesn't have. Also several people referred to a zipper bag -- this has no zippers, just some velcro holding down a flap. Is this the right item to hold the wind deflector when not in use? I can't find a way to actually fit the wind deflector into the bag (and, yes, it is completely folded -- in half, then in half again.)

I contacted Suncoast to ask if they had sent the correct bag and they responded that there was no difference between the 996 and 997 wind deflectors but Porsche never updated the bag so it would fit the 997 cars. This doesn't explain why I can't figure out how to get the wind deflector into the bag -- although perhaps my lack of coordination might explain it.

Any help appreciated.

 

My factor bag with Wind Screen inside, looks like a French Horn case and has a zipper. I don't think you have the right bag. You might want to check at your local Porsche dealer just to make sure.
