997.1 and 997.2 Sport Exhaust and Muffler Delete question

Hey guys, i have a question..

I have an 05 911 997.1 "S" i bought muffler delete pipes for it but never installed them.
Last week my friend got a 911 997.2 "S" and got the sport exhaust option.

My question is,

Would he be able to install the muffler delete pipes, and still use the factory sport exhaust buttons that open and close the valves that control how loud the car is?

Another question,
Will the muffler delete pipes for a 997.1 fit a 997.2?

Both are "S" models.
All input is appreciated.

Thanks in advance guys

No. The 997.1 and 997.2 have completely different exhaust systems. There are no parts interchangeable.

The factory PSE exhaust systems, the valves are part of the mufflers themselves. (although External mounted). So they go hand-in-hand with your internal PSE control, whether that me automatic, or with the manual PSE button.

Long-story-short......... you remove the mufflers, you take the PSE control valves with it.
