Octane 94 in Canada equivalent to US oct 93 ?
Octane 94 in Canada equivalent to US oct 93 ?
Since i'm planning to change the ECU, i was wondering if our 94 oct gas (from Petro-Canada nicknamed the ''super-super'') is equivalent to the U.S. oct 93 ?
I know the octane rating thing is different than Europe, is it the same ratings/test used for USA and Canada ?

The rating system in the US is the same as in Canada. Read up:

We use a blend between RON and MON.
Also check out the inside of your gas cap for recommendations on fuel type. It talks about RON and MON too.
Bottom line is that if you know you can get 94 (sunoco or Petro can now) then get it tuned for that with the ability to change it to 87 in an emergency.
I've been able to use Sunoco 94 for every fill up since new but there are SUnoco's everywhere in Ottawa.
