Realistic whp from bolt-on mods ?

It seems pretty excessive to say that a 25 hp drop takes a C2S and makes it feel 'really gutless'.

True indeed! It's the drop-off in midrange torque that makes the car feel that way. In reality the difference is quite small but it's very noticeable in practice.

I would say the gas does make a difference. I usually mix 100 with the 91 to get to 93, which is what US P-cars were programmed to perform best at ..
