997 Launch question

Just sold my tricked out 996 and am looking to upgrade to either a 996TT or a 2005 997 Carrera S launch edition with all the options including PCCB's.

Any idea how many of the 2005 997 launch editions were actually sold in the USA?

Anybody recommend one vs the other? Has anyone heard of any issues with 997's over 60k miles?...thanks!

If it got past 60k miles it's good. The ones to worry about are the garage queens. You should have a proper PPI done by a competent Porsche mechanic anyway.

My first 997S was the launch edition --great car!!!! There's always this little part of me that wonders if my old car will find its way onto 6speed.

Never had any car over 60k miles --I simply don't know .

My 997s cab had 60k miles when I sold it and 0 problems. Current 997s is getting close to 60k and only problem has been a broken shift linkage cable. My previous 993 and 996 both had over 90K miles and still ran like new the day I sold them! Don't be afraid of a car with high mileage, just make sure to get a PPI done.
