997s X51 Cat-by-pass

Guys im willing to remove the cats on my car. i've heard somewhere that i need to re-flash the ecu (Lean or rich issue). Is that correct? Does it harm the engine to go catless? the car has the x51 hearders and pse (open valves all the times). I need to make the car louder and i know that im gonna get few Hp from doing it.

As far as the ecu, you just need to unplug the "-" battery terminal while the work is being done on your car. That's it.
