I misunderstood your question. I used the big rubber grommet up behind the right tail light when I installed my PSE control wires in my Targa a few years ago. I pushed a plastic tube through from the inside of the car, then taped the wires to it in engine bay and pulled them back into the car. It is very awkward to get right to the grommet from the engine side. I'm not sure where the grommet access is inside a cab, but assume it will be accessible by detaching the rear part of soft top and lifting the tray for access to the equipment installed in there. The grommet should be just behind the top of the inner rear fender well.

ALEV8 is infamous around these parts
So Ken did you remove the rear deck etc to pass through from the cabin side ? I'm installing the cabin side tubing on a Sound Symposer and the tube is like .75" od. Obv the rest of it is going to sit in the engine compartment near the right tail light aand is connected to the intake/air box. Question is will a tube that diameter fit?!!!!! I'm taking a look shortly.

I just installed backup camera on 997.2, here's the picture of the grommet
Grommet on passenger side rear, you can just drill a hole from that small hole and get wire through

That view of from the rear right tail light area? Or back in that area.

I am needing it for the same reason, need to route video cable to the front.

It's actully the view from the rear seat, you can only see the hole from inside. I used a long screw driver to poke that hole through (it's thin), and then drill from the rear right tail light.

Here's one more picture, good luck!
