PCM faceplates

I have read a lot of forums and many Porsche owners want to paint the faceplates around the PCM!
Does anyone have instructions how to remove these faceplates? I would really appreciate this!

regards

First of all you there are no faceplate replacements. If you screw the faceplate up you have to get a whole new PCM-Unit.
The paint job shouldnt be a problem, but if you get it done e.g. by our sponsor bumperplugs, you have to send the frame to them without a core exchange. Because of the problem mentioned above they have usually no frames in stock. It is the same problem with A/C unit etc.
To get it removed is also a pain in the a** and should be done by somebody who has some experience with it.
Some people have done that, but when I received the instructions for the removal I canceled this project.
I will look for the instructions. If I find them I keep you updated.

Sorry to bring back on old thread but I'm in the same predicament and would like to know how people have removed the faceplate.

I have some bad scratches and would like to paint it. Any tips appreciated!
