Any ideas or thoughts on what discount (if any) to shoot for on an order for a 2011 Targa 4S?

There's never incentives on a new model year at the start of the cycle . Dealerships have an entire year to sell the car so it's no big deal to let them sit (if no one buys) . Plus dealerships usually clear leftover inventory at that time . Those cars will usually be easiest to negotiate on but may be harder to to find a car that you like.

If you place an order you might be able to negotiate a small discount onto the contract . If you order off beat colors or options a dealership may request a larger deposit . A standard color with modest options with a small deposit and slight discount is (in my opinion) a fare request .
