Eeeesh ....

I don't even know what to say . I see a lot of folks said "I'm sorry this happened to you" but I never apologize for things that I didn't do. I am glad you're ok but that also leaves you in perfect health to dwell on this . However .. it also gives you the ability to move forward without physical pain -- and that's a good thing.

You probably replay it back over and over. Every time it's even more upsetting .
Hang in there .. you have choices . You'll most likely remember this .. but with time, effort, a few bucks, and a separating the stress from the problem solving .. you can work this out.

Good luck.

Bad time for your car but more importantly a very good time for you. Wow..your description of what happened sounds scary. Time will ease your pain. It could have been a lot worse. I had a recent post on my car's bad karma at the parking lot and have been without my car for the past couple of weeks. The body shop is taking their own sweet time to fix it. I hope everything can be fixed in your car. Please be on top of things on a daily basis. Have it thoroughly checked for internal damage and have only a very good Porsche certified body shop handle all the repairs. Keep us posted on the repairs needed. Several members are very knowledgeable and can point you in the right direction.

Thank goodness no harm to yourself. How incredibly aggravating to have the police add insult to injury. It was for just this sort of reason that I ordered a mini video recorder (Muvi), though time will tell if I have the discipline to use it. Been thinking about it for the last few weeks, ever since I had a weird accident in which a series of lane splitting motorcycles bounced of the side of my Range Rover, one of them wiping out my mirror, and then fled the scene.

Thank you all for the replies.
Just for the record lol, Dubai is a wonderful place, probably the most advanced city in the middle east. However no city is perfect and Dubai's clear flaw is the psychotic driving habits that are widespread.

Today i was at the Porsche body shop and as i suspected the steering rod is broken in addition to the front left suspension components. The parts will have to be ordered. All in all the process is going to take a month for the car to be up and running. Im just thankful that no damage was done to the body panels( i have no idea how!) It wasnt a mild hit since i sat around 2 minutes in the car praying that everything was fine ( And my phone was under my seat so it took me a while to find it :P)

That's why I try o live by the motto of "If I cannot avoid hitting something I'm going to make sure I hit the guy that caused the accident". From the officers perspective, he arrives and its apparently a 1 car accident where someone road up the concrete barrier.

Some cops are real a$$holes! I have been pulled over and gotten a ticket so many times only because I am young and drive a Porsche (even in my old 350Z). I guess they just can't take it, and they are so jealous that they try to make your life a living hell!
I'd feel pretty confident is the assertion that you did not get pulled over for being young and in a sports car, but that you did something to draw their interest to you.

You are correct. But in that moment, usually your reflexes kick in and you act before you think.

Yeah, this sucks so bad though. I've had a few incidents where some jackass is not paying attention and tries to run into me (mainly at the dumb traffic circles that nobody up here knows how to use right), so I swerve out of the way and wind up going up a curb or something. Of course any damage to the wheel will be "my fault". I've gotta get better at just letting people hit me...

Sorry to hear of your problems, hope insurance brings your car back to it's original beauty. Glad all involved were not hurt.
