Upgrading to c4s

The idea of owning a pcar was faint 12 months ago. Today I bought my second (traded in the '07 c4) ! Gotta say I'm happy and when I take delivery next week I'll be overjoyed ! There are many reasons others diss the PDK but this is an amazing mechanism.

Last year I couldn't see over the '09 price lump (+110K) hence the '07 c4, but today I owe a brand new 4s for an great number. Yes it's a bit more coin then the c4 but the 60 hp, pasm, bucket seats, and full leather will all help me down the road. It has a NAV which is OK. Such a different drive then a six speed. I have an '06 Audi with a dsg but this is so much quicker shift to shift !

Gotta keep working I guess.

I'm thinking of upgrading to a C4S shortly so my 06 Carrera may come up for sale...

Congrats on the new one!

I like my PDK. It sounds ike you bought one of the meteor launch cars . Congrats!!
The price has to be good because production numbers on the specific car are high . Each dealership had 4 of them.

PDK in Turbo

It looks like you have a 997tt. Do you have the sport buckets and do they feel good after 3 or 4 hours ? How many miles have you log ? Is there a way for owners to view the rev. limit log other then at the Shop ?

Sport buckets in a C4S = mad props to you Wish more people were like you and purchased true sports car seats in their sports cars when it's factory available! Now if only they would add a factory sunroof delete...

I have both a 997 Turbo (EVT700) , and a 997S . Both have the sports adaptive seats . I did consider at one time swapping to the sport buckets on the Turbo but decided to keep the seats .

Here was the list of pro and con -

Pro-
1) Sport Buckets are light
2) Both myself and my Gf fit easily in them . Shes only 108 lbs and I am 155 .
3) they look cool
4) they are the ideal drive position pre set.

Con-
1) I did read that on a long trip the padding can be a bit rough . Keep in mind I am in my 50's .
2) I do have friends who woild not be able to fit (either due to weight ,back issues, or aging).

If I ever buy a Gt3 or Gt3RS .. these would be the seats of my choice.
If I was 25 years old ..I'd buy them.
BUT -- if I was 25 years old .. I could not afford the car.

I love the adaptive sport seats. Only disadvantage is the weight But if you way 155 then you're making up the weight savings yourself!!

Buckets are cool if you're comfortable in that position, but you better be damn sure it's okay on your body because they ain't moving!
