Keeping your GT3/RS/Aero front lips looking nice DIY

This is a pretty simple one and I discovered this by accident. The forever black stuff actually dyes the plastic where it has been scratched and it dries the same color as the lip. You cant even tell that its scratched unless you get really close. This is a great way to keep the lip looking nice. I usually put a coat on every time I wash the car.

Before and after shots!

As you can see the lip originally had the typical GT3 Cup lip scratches fro daily driving as well as some extra bad scratches from negotiating some especially bad driveways.

In the after shot you can see where the scratches are but of course they are now dyed and the same color as the rest of the lip! It took all of 30sec to accomplish..

Baselstein is infamous around these parts
nice job looks great, maybe for the scratches you could try turtle wax headlight lens restorer. If it works for head lights it might work for the lip i think it might be safer than using sand paper or polish to remove them for good

Looks good. I've heard shoe polish does the trick as well. Got any solutions for GT Silver?

Jason - couple of things -
- where are you buying this stuff? I see it at a couple of places on-line, and even Amazon, but wondering if there's a better place that I'm not noticing. I went to a local Autoparts store and also checked with Pep Boys and neither carry it
- On Amazon, there is a Bumper and Trim product by the same mfg, but you're using the Tire Gel. I know you said you came upon this by accident, but I winder if the other product would be better - Any thoughts?
Tire Gel: http://www.amazon.com/Forever-Black-...9594838&sr=8-1

Bumper and Trim: http://www.amazon.com/Forever-Black-...gy_auto_text_b

Thanks again -
Jack

I think I ordered this stuff or maybe even got it as an incentive when I ordered other products. I think other similar stuff would work as long as it is the stuff that is designed to actually dye the tire/trim.
