*AERODYNAMICS THREAD* What type of parts would you guys like to see made?
I think there should be a lip available from a company like yours for the 997.1 GT3/Aerokit bumper that is much smaller that the stock lip, and flexible like the cup lip. I think many people have that bumper (or want it), and they love the look, but don't like the ground clearance on the front, particularly if the car is lowered.
These things can be swapped out by the owner in no time, and your small lip could solve this problem.
I've heard of one 6-speeder with 3 lips - one for daily driving, one for special occasions like cars and coffee, and one as a spare (Im not so sure about the 3rd)
Anyway - your lip could be the main lip, or the daily driver lip...

I would love to have something more than just the 997.1 OEM bumper. I would even get the AeroCup front bumper but with just a smaller lip. Without a lip the the AeroCup front bumper looks unfinished. With the lip it is WAAAAYYYY too low for daily driving in my area.
A couple of ideas / requests for the Gen-2 997/997S
1) A front lip/splitter as others have already said - preferably in a flexible material so it doesn't get wiped-out every time it scrapes the ground. Properly designed, it would work wonders to stop the nose going light at high speed
2) A small, subtle, and LIGHT WEIGHT rear wing as Porsche don't make such a thing for these cars. I personally think the GT3/GT2 style wings look far too much on a daily driver like my car (that I have to use for business as well as pleasure). However, I also think the shape of the Carrera/Carrera S demands some sort of fixed rear wing to look fully finished. Something along the lines of the TechArt Type-III (or indeed Porsche's own Turbo rear wing) but at a sensible price point would be perfect - especially if it was available in 2 different widths so it would look as good on a narrow-body car as a wide-body. Oh and did I mention it should, above all, be light weight?

The two items that seem to always be desired are GT2 style side skirts for NB cars and a good looking front spoiler for the stock 997.1 bumper. ( the 997.2s can use the sport classic front spoiler which is excellent looking)

I had a crazy idea a while back related to wheel arches. First off, wheel arches would be cool. Whether the 993 GT2 style, or modern cup car, these things are cool and not such a big deal to install.
So - building on that, I was thinking about lowered cars. I think there are two main reasons for a lowered car, purely from an aesthetics perspective:
1) the car has lower ground clearance, and looks meaner. This is a double edged sword, since less ground clearance means more scraping on driveways, etc. Many mature people (ie Porsche owners) are not interested in dealing with those scraping issues.
2) there's less of a fender gap - that gaping space between the top of the tire and the fender.
Is it possible to partially solve #2 with wheel arches? If you had a wheel arch that not only extended the width of the fender, but also dipped into the fender well, there'd be less of a gap to the top of the tire. I know it sounds nutty, but I'm interested in what others think. Maybe a photochop rendering would be needed to tell if it would work.

Same here. If Misha makes a pair of GT2 Side skirts for the 997.1 NB, I will be all over it!
What about for the 996? I know it's older, but along the same lines as many people already in this thread asking about lips, I think many of us would love to have street and track lips you could swap out. Since most of them are just bolted on with half a dozen bolts, it's not a big deal to have to swap out the entire lip rather than having an extra/additional piece below the normal lip. Or the extra piece could be a splitter just for the track that doesn't have a ton of ground clearance so it wouldn't work well on the street, but would bolt on underneath the street lip.
I'd also like to see some canards for the track (which I'd leave on for the street anyway, why take them off?). The common theme here is more downforce on the front!
