The bumper looks great but needs a wing to go with it.
A 997.2 GT3 rs carbonfiber wing is in the works. The wing span will be adjusted for the narrow body.

I've been following this and excited about a rear end upgrade for my 06C2S. I'm also following the LED thread, but would much prefer OEM. Now I'm thinking that if I replAce my rear bumper, it should be able to accommodate .2 OEM LEDs. Either a .2 bumper, or an aftermarket version that fits those lights.
So - here's an idea - make a version of this bumper that takes those .2 LEDs. On the one hand, your taking a good product and splitting the market into two, essentially needing two molds, etc, for the same market that you planned for originally. However, I wonder how many others are like me, and would not want to replace a .1 bumper without getting the proper setup for .2 LEDs.
Just a thought...

i think many 997.1 owners that were planning to replace their rear bumpers for whatever reason would be inclined to switch to OEM LEDs. For me the only reason I'd consider switching bumpers if it was so banged up or dented and needed replacement, unfortunately it's pristine right now...

If you want the .2 GT3 bumper for your 997.1 and want to keep your dual exhaust, accommodate the new .2 LED's AND fit on your 997.1, PM Edwin at Precision Porsche. As you may have already seen, I test fitted their center exit version on my 997.1, but they also have the dual exhaust version ready to go. https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...t3rs-done.html

I definitely prefer the PE over the fiberglass. The lines and fit to the fender on that piece look so clean! Can't wait to see the final product and also look forward to the wing.

Thanks for sharing.

If you read Jack's request, he wanted a dual exhaust gt3 rear bumper for his 997.1 that have the cutout for 997.2 tails so he could do the LED retrofit on his .1 and he was suggesting to you that you make a mold for both 997.1 AND 997.2 tails so consumers like '911S' who has a 2009 and has shown interest in your bumper have options. I simply responded to Jack to let him know that someone already had what he wanted available. Either way, good job on this specific bumper and curious to see the new 'RS' wing.

Our new 2010 997.2 GT3 RS version is 100% unbreakable polyurethane requires no pre-fitting before installation, is designed for your dual exhaust and does not require an upgrade to .2 LED lights saving you a lot of $$ in the long run. We are also moving forward with our 2010 GT3 RS wing, decklid and uprights that will bolt on your existing decklid with no permanent modification and will complete the GT3 RS look for your 997.1

We cannot rush this process if we want to make the best parts possible, so for those of you interested in these new parts be patient, we promise the wait will be more than worth it!

Cheers,
Team GT3 Tek
