Warranty is expiring: Question

My 2006 997 factory warranty is expiring next month..I'm getting a bit nervous.

Are there any "preventative" services I could bring to the dealers attention before the warranty expires? I hear stories about the Rear Main Seal, and I'm wondering if the dealer would address this without noticeable symptoms? Thoughts on this or other services?

i think $3k will get you an extended after market warranty - not sure about other things to do before the OEM expires...

Requesting a final inspection and service may give peace of mind but it can't guarantee that the car won't ever face a hurdle after the warranty ends .
Some opt for extended wararnty , others trade in the car, and others simply pay out of pocket or try and find a skilled repair center which costs less .

As larry said there are no guarantees. however, there was a thread over at rennlist (997 forum I think - or 997TT) where someone asked the same queston. There were some very specific things that were suggested an owner has checked out as a "final" inspection.
