So I pump 4 gallons of it and then add the rest with Union 76 high-test for an in-tank average of about 93-94 octane. Shaken not stirred. A bit **** retentive I know but the car is specced for no less than 93 so I do this with the 997 and FGT.
That's about right - Octane blend calculator.

I actually think that it does not make much of a diff. Last week at Laguna Seca I asked someone filling up w/ 91 why wasn't he blending with 100, and he said it did not make a difference.

I was however a bit disappointed last week when I hit a Sunoco and noticed a sticker which said it contained up to 10% ethanol, Oddly enough it was the only Sunoco where I've ever seen that on the pump
All gasoline sold in the US contains at least 10% ethanol by law. Some brands are as high as 15% but 10% is the minimum required amount.

There is no E15 yet. Most gas is E10 (up to 10% ethanol - and could be 0%). There's also E85 (up to 85% ethanol and it typically is 30-40%).

There is pressure to move E10 to E15 (up to 15% ethanol) and the EPA will rule on that come Sep. Watch out if that passes as your engine is not ready for that and will corrode.

I can get NO ETHANOL Sunoco 93 and 98 at the pumps at Sebring Raceway. To be honest you can;t really tell any difference with no ethanol at the track. I usually fill up on the way to Sebring from Tampa and by the next morning I am right between 1/2 and 3/4 tank. I do my 1st run and get down to about 1/4 tank. I fill up up the gas at the track no ethanol 93 and then fill up again for the last run....no difference I've really been able to tell.

I tried 98 twice and no difference either.

I use Chevron or Mobil from new gas stations. Question: how do you find 94 octane or higher in South Florida Area? Any lead will be appreciated.

From a performance POV ethanol does not change anything. However, it is less efficient - fewer MPG and it is corrosive and hygroscopic. Therefore bad all-around.

Not true. The station where I buy the majority of my gas advertises "No Ethanol in our Gas."
