Track Pad for Stock Rotors on Carrera S

I"m looking for a track pad to use with my stock braking system and rotors that is (a) aggressive enough for the track but (b) not too abrasive for the stock rotors.

Anyone have suggestions?

I'm not likely to track the car more than one or two days in it's life, so longevity of the pad is secondary. I will be running on street tires.

Pagid yellow is what I use. They are supposed to be easier on rotors but have a lot of bite.
I have stock rotors.
Don't know what track you will be on for 1-2 days. Are you sure you need track pads? I've used stock pads with good success. But it depends on the track.

Maybe you should just change your brake fluid to a racing grade (Castrol SRF) and leave it at that.
If the track isn't too hard on brakes and your stock pads are in good shape, you may be just fine.

These are give and take trade offs, a really good track pad is going to eat your rotors, and if you want longer life they won't have a great bite. The stock pad is a good pad for multi use if you are doing a few track days a year. I swap my pads out before events, and then go back to stock for the street.

I would suggest talking to Craig at Rennstore.com, he is really knowledgeable about what pad might work for your needs.

you do not need pagid yellows if you will be on street tires and only 1-2 seasonal DEs. you may start to worry about that after you`ll get r-comps and progress into advanced running group. if you never tracked before - do not worry about that, just make sure your pads have more that 50% of life left in them prior to DE event.

With street tires...stay with stock pads. As a beginner you will not really heat up race pads enough to fully see a benefit. Plus track pads on the street are not great when cold and they squeel a lot.

If you insist and do not believe me...here are the part numbers you will need:

2009 997.2S Brake Pads

Pagid
E2474 290 10 RS 29 Yellow Fronts
E2405 290 10 RS 29 Yellow Rears

Performance Friction
7818.01.17.44 PF01 Fronts
0776.01.17.44 PF01 Rears
