Visit engine shop warning light?
Durring a road trip on Friday night, we had a brief run in with the outer edges of hurricain Earl and had to drive through some crazy rain for over an hour and a half. All is good, made it to the destination, and the car is in 1 piece. The next morning, we go to get some breakfast and the "visit engine shop" warning light comes on. I'm like WTF!! The car is running awesome. Shut the car down, wait a few, restart, and it pops back on. I disconnected the battery for 30 minutes on the side street. Walla, its gone. Drove the car 2.5 hrs home the next day and she ran great like nothing ever happened.
Now the question is, can the heavy rain throw a code? I read on Renns list that this has happened to a few people after they washed the engine, and all turned out fine. Has anyone here ever experienced it before? Thanks
