Wheel sizes

So I have been speccing out aftermarket wheel options in (what I thought was) standard sizes: 19 x 8.5 and 19 x 11. However, I was on the configurator last night and it turns out the stock fronts are 8" and not 8.5".

Size with tires (front) 8J x 1 235/35 ZR 19
Size with tires (rear) 11J x 1 295/30 ZR 19

Is everyone ordering 8 or 8.5 in the front, and is there any fitment problems with the 8.5" wheel (I'm assuming no)? I noticed when I went to Tire Rack, for instance, all wheels suggestions are in 8.5 for the front.

Either one will work with a 235, sometimes aftermarket wheels are available in different sizes.

Blackbox is infamous around these parts
Gravedgr, There are many consideratiions when it comes to wheel / tire sizes. When i'm looking for new wheels I always use this wheel offset calculator to make certain fitment is correct. http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp Also, it never hurts to talk to an expert and I have found the guys at Wheel Enhancement (board sponser) to be great.

all depends on offset, you can run up to 9" front and 12" rear with correct offset!

I'm selling hre c20's in the classifieds that were built for a 997 narrow body and they are 8.5's up front. I've ran 9 different sets of aftermarket wheels on my 997 and they have all been 8.5's up front with offsets ranging from +38 to +55.
