Question 997S.2 Wheel Spacers Question

Hi everyone

My current Porsche is a 2010 C2S gen-II with Carrera Sport Wheels (8.5" front and 11.5" rear) Tyres are the standard (for the Carrera Sport wheel) 235/35x19 Front and 305/30x19 Rear. Offsets are 55mm F / 67mm R for these wheels.

The suspension is unmodified RoW PASM with stock RoW PASM ride heights.

My question is what sized spacers I should use to get a much more 'flush' look (to bring the tires almost in line with the edge of the fenders) but without any danger of contact between the tires and the body.

I'd also be grateful for any advice regards the best make of spacer out there (and I'd particularly like ones that locate the wheel on the hub properly).

Finally, I believe Porsche only sells/recommends 5mm spacers as a maximum. Does anyone know why this is? Is is due to safety (i.e. mechanical strength of the components - wheel bearings/hubs/wheel bolts etc.) or due to the effect on suspension geo and handling? Does anyone have any first-hand experience of how bigger spacers affect the handling and steering?

Thanks in advance
