997 C4S Tires

Hey guys,

I need to replace the tires on my C4S, my back right tire is showing cords in the inside???

My other 3 look great!

Car is an 2007 with OEM Tires 13k miles.

LOTS of tread minus the back right...

What other tires do y'all recommend, of course keeping the rolling diameter the same.

Thanks

-Adam

mike87 is infamous around these parts
michelin pilot sport 2

original equipment, absolutely love them; no complaints here

the pilot sport 3 is out, maybe you should hold out for some of those when the correct sizes become available.

also on a side note, metal cords showing? maybe check your suspension just in case

I have the Bridgestone RE050A's. I have been pretty surprised. Reasonably quiet, good handling wet and dry and tire wear has been pretty good. I think they are now into N02 spec, so they even have an improved version out. Much cheaper than the Michelin alternative.

I don't recommend to mixing up your tires with different brands.

I agree. He didn't mention what he had and was looking for alternatives. If you just need rears, get a set of rears. THose PS2 rears will cost you about $1k though; you can get whole sets for that much.

I was waiting for a Bridgestone response. I swapped Cup tires on a 997 GT3 to the Bridgstones and my buddy who is a cup car driver LOVES THEM and SWEARS BY THEM...

Yeah, something is out of wack if the right rear dies like that...
