Leftover Prices
Leftover Prices
Hey guys just wondering what do you guys think of 09 997.2 still new on the lots??? What kind of deals could one expect also would you be leavery of a 09 still new on the lot. i.e the car im looking at is a 09 C4S w PDk MSRP 112k appreciate the help
It would be interested to see what that car would bring in trade in with say 1000 miles. It is 2 years old and needs to be priced accordingly. If the car was totalled in an MVA the insurance would likely pay you WAY less than what the dealer wants to sell it to you. The car must be well built to get to 112K-Good luck.

I think you MAY be able get a very decent deal on it. However, keep in mind that 09 997.2's are trading and selling in the mid to low 70's. So, is the car itself worth even 80K now. It is really hard to agree that it is at this time.
You may need to factor in if the car was punched as of yet (warranty effective date), build date of the car itself, worn spots on the tires and many other variables.
Take a look at what 2009 997.2 cars are selling for with low miles and see if someone can provide mannheim prices as well for comparison to get a real world view of what the car is worth.
I only mention this because if you totalled the car as soon as you drive off the lot, what would the allowable payoff be?
I attempted to sell my 2009 997.2 cab last week as the best I could get for it on trade was $72K and that was slightly over allowed on price I think. My car was originally stickered at $114K. I decided to drive it for a while longer until I see what the new car will look like. Just an urge to move into another vehicle that I didnt really need.

It actually doesn't matter if it's "new" just coming off the dealer lot. It is essentially a low mileage, '09. That's exactly how any insurance company would reimburse you...or, essentially, what you could get for it if you tried to sell it.
Also, consider that there may be issues with a car that has been sitting that long. I'd have a serious conversation with the dealership about accelerated maintenance during the first few thousand miles.
Minor point...but....if they haven't been able to sell it (for whatever reason) -- something about it might make it hard for you to resell it someday.

I don't know if this helps.... but I picked up an 09 Carrera 3.6L 997.2... It had a few amenities like Sport Chrono, Vented Seats, Blue Tooth, a few other goodies.... MSRP sticker was $91,800.
I bought it 3 weeks ago from MotorCars of Georgia, and paid $72,800 for it.... I thought I did good. No one wants to waste money, but $1000 bucks give or take isn't going to break me.... I checked around on Ebay for comparison shopping and I found similar 3.6L Carrera's for about the same price. So I figured I did okay?
Are there any other "comps" you can look at?
