New for 2006?

My dealer told me today that the 2006 997 model will hit showrooms late September / October. As some of you may know, I am planning to order a 997S which i hear will take a few months to be delivered - probably June. That said, should I wait and order a 2006 model?

Does anyone know what will be in the new 06 model 997 and 997S? Hopefully they will add Sat radio like the Cayenne.....I can't believe they didn't include that option with the BOSE premium upgrade!

TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitor) will be coming available sometime in MY06...
Don't hold your breath for anything major or groundbreaking, since PAG are in a model release cycle

I have TPMS on my current car now & I HATE it. If you are ever thinking about swapping out rims do not get TPMS. it is a nightmare.

Many rims don't take TPMS. If you want aftermarket rims, your selection is limited greatly. You have to keep the TPMS sensor or else your car thinks your tire has no pressure.

Yep, exactly. Many of the people you go to won't touch the TPMS sensors. I called my dealer (Mazda) & he won't touch aftermarket rims. I call the tire places around me they will mount & install aftermarket rims but they won't touch TPMS. Just a huge hassle. I now have after market rims & tires ready to install on my car but it has just been a nithgmare to find somebody to take off my old rims & tires, remove the TPMS sensors & put them in my new tires & wheels, have them mount & install the new wheels. Just a more hassle then they are worth.
