any recommendations on car audio places for porsches(!) in Los Angeles area? I had my previous work done at extreme auto sound in north hollywood but I dont think they know porsches (fiber optic cable system etc).
get mobridge for $500 - it is good deal and you wil lnot need anything else as you will have ipod and bluetooth for your phone. mount it behind your glove box compartment.

the xenon lights were torn off my 996 (in minutes) by theives. The 997 lights are subject to less theft risk.
upgraded PCM .
better quality leather
less rattles .
997 also had less engine problems

I had 2 996 cars (an 00 and ann 02) . I don't miss them at all.

PS --If you really want to save money with an older model the 993 is the car to get .
I had 2 993's and an '01 996 and have an 06 997 S. I liked them all for different reasons. The PASM on the 997 S is like getting 2 cars for the price of one.

The 997 S is the first car I have considered making a long term commitment too. And that is saying something.

The 993 is a fabulous option too.
