I've read in several posts the reference to insurance for wheel and tire damage???? Can anyone point me in the right direction to research that possibility??

Search my previous posts. I purchased tire warranty from dealer on my 09 997.2. 5 year, unlimited miles for about $800 I believe. There is construction within my development, picked up a roofing nail in a few months. Brought the car to Braman motors in WPB. They called the company, no inspection asked for , no hassle, tire replace with brand new P Zero for $1 disposal fee. No inspection, no pro rating for the few thousand miles on the tire. My warrany also covers wheels....................Highly recommended........

 

I have it as well and will be calling this morning about a scraped wheel...

 

I dont know if you can buy it after a certain period. I know it is offered typically when you are purchasing a new or used car from the delaer with the warranty. I hav epurchased it several times with vehicle I purchased. I have been fortunate that all of my warranties have paid for themselves as I have needed new tires on all cars. My 09 997.2 had a flat only 2 months after I puchased it so I am even on the warranty already.
Check with your dealer and see if you can but it from them or maybe even your insurance agent may be selling it.
