Any more pics of the 997TT?

 

I might consider one in the second year. I would buy it from Ruf as a Ruf Rturbo

The integration of the exhaust tips in the bumper is a bad idea...Looks like they are doing the same for the Cayenne. The only Porsche that looks good with this type of exhaust tip integration is the CGT. Looks stupid on both the 911 and 955, imo

 

Unless they plan a similar C-GT treatment with stylized shrouds for the exhaust in the bumper panel - that would look OK and further differentiate the car from the n.a. 911 models .

 

Any idea how long we're looking at till the 998s turn up? The old rumors said ~1.5 years from now, but recent reports suggest the standard 7 year model update.

 

those spy pics are kind of fugly. but i am sure the real deal will look sharp.

 

amgetr: i too have heard fall 2005 but think that they will hype then delay for a couple of months. i stopped believing anything i hear since the whole 997 thing. we have cabs already and the reason is cutthroat competition. in a couple of years, there probably will be a fairly soft market for many of these high end and specialty vehicles.

 

Thats impossible...If anything the 997 TT will be unveiled at next years Int Frankfurt Auto show... then hits euro showrooms by early summer and US showrooms by mid fall. Anyone else agree with me??

 

I've also heard that there will not be a 997T, and that the spy shots are actually the test bed for a 998T...

 

the car is a rocket, the side vents look like gills.

 

I really doubt Porsche will give up dropping their biggest money maker. 3-4 years without a 997TT would be suicidal.

 

There WILL be a 997TT and my source (pretty reliable) says it WILL be fall 05... I am just telling you what I was told.
