991 Exterior Design - Rear Spoiler Uncovered
SubscribeI like what I see, even with the film wrap. Overall, the lines look pretty similar to the 997.....I hope I'm at the dealer in 2013 picking out a color.
I do have an uneasy feeling that when the front-end wrap comes off, tear-drop shaped headlights are going to be revealed.

My guess is the headlights won’t change much; think about how much crap Porsche got over the 996 change. I do not like the side view mirrors on the doors so far, it makes it look a bit like your pockets are hanging out of your pants. Although the wing does look good when concealed and deployed I wonder how well the area in which it deploys from will look. The deck lid looks a bit smaller with less air vents, almost like a vented version of the Cayman. The rear lights look as though they have moved back towards the 997.1 version and the front LED turn signals look as though they are individually drilled out of the bumper, me no likey.
Only time will tell and I am sure we will end up with a great product.

Maybe they are hiding the lights to F with us - surely they learned from the 996 that you don't mess with the "face" too much. People who want to buy a 911 want it to look like a 911...I think. Originally Posted by mshanler

That's all camo'd up so much, there's no way to tell - look at the rear lights - at least half of that is a sticker taped on, similar to the side vents, with holes in it to let the signaling through. I don't expect those rear light will be much 997.1 or .2 at all when the tape comes off.Originally Posted by gloves

Either P'shopped or much less front camo: http://www.worldcarfans.com/11008132...etails-surface
Very sharp, clean shots here - notice that 90% of the rear lights look like an overlay with a few holes in it: http://www.caradvice.com.au/91034/20...11-spy-shoots/

Good catches. It does look like much of the front and rear lights are all covered.Originally Posted by stevepow
