does your electric fan sound like junk...

I have a 997.2 Carrera. When I close either door, there is most often a crappy junky rattle sound that comes from the rear of the car. I investigated and it's the electric fan under the engine lid. I though it might have been the spoiler hitting the body (checked it and it's fine). Then I figured maybe the license plate frame? Nope. It's the electric fan. It's mounted to the underside of the engine lid with rubber bushings, but the fan itself must be that cheap. It sounds tinny and cheap when it makes the noise.

Anyone else experience this? I'd like to know before I ask the dealer to replace it. Thanks.

Regards,
DRP

What do you think they will replace it with or do you think it's just a bad part?

I would ask the dealer if it is normal, they get paid by the warranty if they find that it isn't up to par.

Not sure what to think other than...any new car shouldn't sound like that when closing the door.

I'll test a door on one of the dealer's cars.

Happy Holiday.
