Not mine. By AC I mean when you press Auto hot/cold air will start blowing depending on temperature. You would think that pressing auto again should turn it off but it does nothing.

LOL, funny you mention the lack of an 'A/C OFF' button. It took me a while after I bought the car to figure that one out. Recently at an autocross, a new 997 owner asked me how to turn off his A/C before he did his first run - apparently I'm not the only one.

Bottom line - I can live with these qwerks, but having a dead battery everyday would put me over the edge as well!

I hear your argument that they are spending their time wisely but come on. Its not like they are spending so much time changing the body style every year.

None of that will change my current car anyway so there is no point in arguing about it. I wonder if there is something that can be done after market. SmartTOP is able to make a few modification to the car. I wonder if this is something that the SmartTop guys can add to the module?
Here you go, cheaper the a SmartTop

If you have Sport Chrono, you can turn on your DRL's and they will turn off when you turn your engine off. This is only headlights though.

I'm fine with the lights. What I need is something that puts the car in park, rolls up the window, shuts the engine off, closes the door, and locks it. Can't tell you how many times I've pulled into the driveway and just gotten out and gone in the house. ROTFLMAO.

Good idea to get used to paying attention to warning beeps - of any sort - for example, a tire failure will beep, annoyingly, yet the car will not auto-pullover and park for you. If there's a beep, checking for warnings is good practice.

Did you later find your car across the street - maybe in the neighbor's yard or up against a tree? Hate it when that happens.

That is interesting. Headlights already turn off when the engine is off. Problem is with the rest of the lights. Tell me more about DRL's, are they completely automatic or does it still require you to turn the lights on at night? What setting do you keep the light switch on?

Yep. My feelings exactly. I haven't gotten over having to turn the key to start the engine.

Don't get me started on that. 100k and you cant push a button to turn on your car? And to make matters worse, the key is on the wrong side! FML

Why not just slow down enough for you to roll out the door near your driveway.

Auto is full automatic. It uses the AC compressor on and off as it needs it and controls ventilation amount and vent exits. To turn the AC off push the AC or Eco button (yellow light on that button will be lit) and the compressor will be off. Same to change vent level and direction, just change their respective individual controls. This is all in the manual BTW.

Whats ridiculous is that whether I forget them on or switch them off in the HOME setting, when I exit the vehicle the same set of lights stay on. Difference is that in the HOME setting all lights turn off after 2 min. Would it have been to hard to program the same behavior in the ON setting? C'mon!

off topic but were you cruising around rvc on sunday thought i saw your car good luck with your lights

I am aware of all that. But there is no way to turn it all off at once. The only way you can do it is by lowering the fan until it shuts off.

I give up. I do not understand your issue. All cars I know of are no different.
