Porsche lettering on 4S red strip
Porsche lettering on 4S red strip
Hey
I was sitting with some friends and we were discussing what I could do to personalize my car a little more.
Someone mentioned that I put "PORSCHE" on the red strip on the rear like the old Porsches had:

like so
would it look good on a black 4S? or will it be too much/tacky?
if someone could photoshop it, that'd be awesome, I can't draw a stick figure
my car is currently debadged but I plan on putting a 911 badge as soon as I can find one for a 4S (out of stock everywhere I checked!)

Here is the original pic,

I like the way it was (is) though. The actual reflective strip is thinner than in the photoshopped pic so it would be hard to get the right look if you were to custom make a sticker.

hmmm yeah
I see what you mean..
thanks for the photoshop..
you're right, I doubt I could make it look non cheap...
I was also hoping maybe someone actually made it aftermarket

I'd be willing to bet a good sign shop could do the letters in black vinyl, and cut them out using a computer. Have them mounted so you can put the text on all at once, that way you don't have to worry about lining up each letter. You could probably get it done for $50 or less, then if you don't like it, just peel it off and go back to the stock red stripe.
I'd like to see what it looks like with the Porsche script.
If someone could do it right, I'd be interested for sure.
