Mht a huge disappointment
Fellow 6speeders. I feel it's my obligation to share the down falls of :
1. Being a modding addict
2. Impatient in waiting for parts
3. Trusting big name companies.
After viewing Stacey's wheel thread, I thought of getting the exact same wheels as his ( they are simply awesome, Ok Stacy let's not let this go to your head
and after much debate, since it would take forever since it was indeed custom, My shop convinced me to get ADV's specifically AVD 10.1 Deep Koncaves. Similiar to Stacy's but with 10 spokes. These wheels are pretty damn hot and I was PROMISED 3 weeks delivery date. I could live with 3 weeks so I bit the bullet. Now 3 weeks has passed and I got nothing but guaranteed assurances and promises that they were almost done.
But due to unforeseen circumstances, I got busy with work and could not find time to have these wheels installed despite go signal I got that they were done and ready to be delivered. As soon as I found time, I scheduled my install......no wheels. Gave it another day....still no wheels but got a promise yet again. Another week, still no wheels so I asked my guy what was the hold up. I was getting frustrated, I have known my guy from Eurorev for a long time and has been a straight up guy and I highly recommend him to anyone who is a mod fanatic. He then gave me the cell number of a certain sale person named JOE from MHT ( whom does the cutting for ADV ) He kept saying that the wheels were in the warehouse and that it will be delivered the next day. ( a promise yet again ) Finally this morning they had called to give me word that the wheels were on the way.
Guess what, 6 hours later this JOE guy finally claims he needs 2 more days.
I had enough and got a refund. Is this the kind of service these custom wheel makers have to offer?
There are a set of awesome wheels I am thinking of getting from an awesome 6speeder ( you know who you are ) as I am so burnt out from buying from these "vendors". So I am just warning anyone out there who may be dealing with this vendor, think twice.
Have an awesome christmas to all of you!

Sorry to hear of this...IT happens! One thing to remember is that your supplier only knows what the manufacturer tells him.But for him to say he had them and for you to come in and get the mounted.....I can't explain!
Move on.....
You have a good holiday as well, don't worry....... I am sure that this being the holiday/giving season that maybe things can/will work out for you!.....

I honestly don't know how these companies even stay in business.. such horrible customer service. To think when dropping over 4k in just wheels, you'd get superior service.
Thanks Stacy!
Thanks Stacy!
I feel your pain, I am also a wheel and mod addict. I once was given the same promises you were by a different company. Total build over 12 weeks. It was a joke. I know it feels like every company are a bunch of BSers but not all are. I have since went with the D2 Forged company and I have to say they come through everytime, ontime with quality. They are even doing an install on friday (xmas eve) bc they promised me they would be ready. This is my 3rd set of wheels from them (on different cars) and I will have pics up soon as they are on. Goodluck with finding a new set..ps I am also very impatient, they delievered in 3 weeks..

Here's one thing I've learned over the years by dealing with different dealers:
Before you drop off your car, you call your them to make sure that the parts are already in their hands, sitting in the store and waiting for your arrival. Otherwise, just reschedule.
No need to get mad, these types of things happen. It's not like your dealer is trying to screw you over, or they're going to make more money by having your car just sitting in their shop.
