My insurance-company/bank is USAA and they offer a pre-negotiated pricing service through... "TrueCar" I think it is. In any case, going to their website I picked a 997S and added some typical options like sport PASM, full leather, nav and universal audio, Bose High-End. What have you. Just to get the MSRP up to the range you mention. At $103,835 MSRP, USAA has three dealers in my West Coast area that will deliver the car for $94,665.

Looking at the statistical summary, USAA gets guaranteed pricing at $2000 above invoice. Dealer actual cost is running about a thousand below invoice. Invoice on that car was $92,665. Looks like you could expect to get at least six off MSRP and probably seven. Varies with which options have gone into the MSRP bottom line of course. Dealers can be a little more aggressive at pricing some options than they can others.

Hope all that helps. Great idea for Christmas. What a way to start a new year.

Gary

Try Amex Zag. On an Audi or BMW, it gave me dealers with the best pricing around - $500 over invoice no questions asked. No bull. Try it.

The car's used wholesale worth 30 percent off MSRP but you won't even come close to that . The day you take delivery and put one mile on it .. that's what you'd get on a trade in.

My advice is to buy a 2011 car and negotiate 10 percent off . You woild have to get 20 percent off the 10 car to compete and I don't think you will get it .

It's too late for the 2010's in my opinion . If a dealership still has it .. I'd let them keep it and chalk it up to either their greed (as buyers who made offers for a year were denied ) or a pooly optioned car that no one wanted .
