Is it okay to have different brand pair rear tires on C4s?

Probably a good idea to stick with all 4 the same but if you have no choice, rears and fronts mismatched aren't as bad as side to side. I bought a Cooper S from auction a year or so ago and that came with 4 completely different tires. Needless to say, it was pretty scary in the corners and it pulled to one side under acceleration! I had those changed pretty quickly lol.

I'm hoping mine don't go out soon due to the supply issue with the changeover of the PS2's, here's hoping mine last until they sort that out.

I Immediately need to replace both rear tires and found out they are unavailable for purchase/order across N. America
Question: Is it okay to put a different brand tires on the back, same 101Y rating, same specs, but the pattern would be different.
ie: Michelin or conti's
This is an all wheel drive vehicle, I would like to be sure.
I just replaced the front set of tires very recently so don't want to have to replace all 4
In my opinion, you're fine to mix them if you're not racing. The only issue with tires that don't match (front vs back axle) would be if you're selling it or trading it in. Dealers don't like it when the tires don't match, but as for using it, good tires are comparable and a normal driver would never know the difference.

Continental Extreme Contact DWS tire is the replacement for the Sport Contact 2 (N) tire.

Have had these on 4 cars and can only say good things about them.

Despite the varying opinions on replacement of tires (in this thread) you are making the right decision.

The only thing I don't like about the Contis is I felt they hydroplaned pretty easily compared to some of the other options out there. Dry grip or grip on damp pavement was amazing, but driving in Boston there was a lot of rain and standing water and I planed pretty good a bunch of times.
