The Porsche recommended snowtires include Nokian WR - an ALL SEASON tire. I love my set. It would be sacrilegious to drive my 09 C4S on the Nokian during the summer but they work great in up to 6 inches of snow, at which point the 4S becomes a plow anyway.

I've always used Michelin Arctic Alpins and never had issues. They're a bit softer feeling than summers, more squishy as you can feel the tread squirm. I don't drive the same in winter as I'm trying to preserve the softer tires for at least three seasons. With all the sand on the roads, carving the bends could put you in to a snow bank

The C4S is awesome in snow. Tons of fun.
