The majority of all Porsche sports car in North American are ordered with manual transmissions. In Europe it is the exact opposite. I suspect cab or coupe has little to do with tranmission choice in the US. My cab is manual, my boxster was manual. To me sports cars should have a manual transmission and an open roof. Now, for Targa's, I'd venture a guess that a greater percentage of those are Step/PDK than with all other 9XX models.
