Burning oil?

I know this topic has been beaten to death, but I had my oil changed at 2000 miles. I now have 5300 miles and have used 2 bars of oil. I drive the car hard, but I am not abusive. I will visit the redline often. I also notice a burning smell when I pull shut the car off. it doesn't smell like oil though. Is this normal, or should I visit the dealer?

all newer porsches seem to burn or leak a little. i have no clue why but **** it if its not broke dont fix it. keep tabs on your oil and if your worried then take it to the dealer and have them check it out.

Cosmoline

It's the smell of the stuff they spray all over the bottom of the engine and gearbox. It smells like burning oil when it's hot. It's perfectly normal - shows you're driving the car properly!
