I'm sure he meant to say 1 new version of the 911 per yer.
this year we got the GTS and the upcoming Black edition.

dealers where all hot on the GTS how limited it would be and no discounts.
there not selling at all, and 2 used on ebay with less then 300 miles and bidding
stopped twice at 100k ..when msrp was 127 and car was only 2 weeks old.
sucks to think the car lost 25k from driving off the lot.The second car they have a BIN
at 10k off with 200 miles on it..

There are very few companies that can produce low volume cars (compaired to the big boys) and stay in the black. My guess is that Audi wants/thinks that they can be VERY black if they make some entry level cars and change it up more often to get the turn over. For us Porsche fans that sucks...but there aint nothing we can do but hope that the brand doesnt turn into a BMW/Audi/Mercedes

I'd say we have about 10 years...max.

Porsche is just barely going to be a leg up from BMW...its performance will likely still be, but the brand image will suffer. Not to mention all the cars they make are not 1/2 as good looking as competitors from Aston Martin or Ferrari.

Is it too hard to ask a VW subsidiary to make a good looking 100 K car that doesn't look like a toad, and keep the brand exclusive?
