Put the summer wheels back on yesterday...surprised
I run Continental winter tires (N spec) on 18 inch Carrera III wheels in the winter and PS2s (N1) on my 19 inch Carrera II wheels the rest of the time.
The rear winter tries are 265 vs. 295 for the the summers and the sidewall is a bit taller on the winters.
So isn't it odd that the car's ride is a tad more compliant with the summers back on? I know the PS2 is a relatively 'comfortable' tire with a softer sidewall, but I'm still surprised.
The summers tramline a bit more, but the steering response is noticeably quicker and more precise.
I'm looking to get the new Pilot Super Sports once my rears have expired. I wonder if they will be as compliant on the street as the PS2s? Good news is that supposedly they aren't any more expensive than the PS2s
