black exhaust tips?
A lot of good options have been mentioned already.
If you want a good cheap set.
1. Buy a can of VHT black exhaust paint.
2. Remove exhaust tips
3. Paint exhaust tips
4. VHT will shine up when buffed... buff tips
5. Install tips.... done and for $5
If you dont want to DIY then ceramic coating is probably best choice without buying new tips.

The guy who did mine (Roger at Final Touch Powdercoating - www.finaltouchpowdercoating.com ) has a building next to his powdercoating shop where the 'blasts' (don't know if it's sand of some other media) items before they get PC'd.
Powdercoating is all he does, and he's very good at it.

What did you pay at Lo-Ko? They are more convenient to me than the place in Steger that I got a quote from.
Huh?..
that's Bovine Scatology.. My 'black smoke' powdercoated stock tips have over 4,000 miles on them, and they look as good today as the day I re-installed them.

I figured I'd try powdercoating the stock tips before I spent $500+ on tips from AWE or Fabspeed. I'm very happy with the results (which I know, isn't everybody's cup o' tea..). I'm even happier with the cost (less than $50).

JHBrennan: We can do the black gloss ceramic coat on your tips. This is a similar situation to the customer with the yellow Gallardo I posted above. Those were a high-polished T304 stainless steel tip that we had ceramic coated. What tips do you have?
Very nice job! Where and how can I can get that done in Vancouver Canada?
I had my after market bright stainless steel tips turn very slightly blue after a day at the track so had my OEM tips ceramic coated and installed them today, very happy with the black look
Who did you have do the ceramic coating for you?
