997 C2 Downforce with VRT Rear Spoiler
997 C2 Downforce with VRT Rear Spoiler
One of our customers wanted more downforce for his track days so to compliment his front lip, he added the Vorsteiner VRT rear spoiler. Here is a photo from the track. Enjoy!

Sure thing.
1. The buying experience through Vivid Racing was first rate - Dan definitely went the extra mile to ensure I had a quality product, even going to bat for me when the initial wing came from Vorstiener with a few issues.
2. Vorsteiner did the right thing and quickly sent out a replacement wing. The product is quality and looks great when combined with an OEM GT3 front.
3. The body shop was able to get the wing on, aligned, and match the paint perfectly. It truly looks factory.
4. I did A LOT to the car between track sessions including a full TPC set-up with coil-overs, sways, alignment and even got new Pilot Sport Cups to replace the PS2's. Given that it's tough to tell how much the added down force contributed to the added grip around the track. I can say overall the car is MUCH more capable and quick.
Only thing I can say negatively is the bolts used to attach the wing caps to the carbon fiber wing rust. I am ordering replacement stainless bolts for a few bucks. Vorsteiner should make that change themselves. Also the grill used on the air scoops is plastic - a powder coated wire mesh would be more in line with the overall quality.
Overall: an A.
Hope that helps.

I have to be honest, the prices for porsche plastic is exponentially higher than most other brands. If the cross section of manufactures were to offer reasonable prices I think they would sell a ton of stuff. I know there are a lot of porsche owners who would love to mod their cars but have more sense than cents.... Who its interesting is gt3tek (no affiliation). Looks like good stuff for reasonable prices... ymmv

That is a valid point. But I wonder of the overall costs were more reasonable if the vendors would not make up the difference in volume? Then again maybe I just a cheap old SOB

A good trial might be a front flexible splitter or aero nose for the 997.2/.1. I haven't seen one if it exists.
It would be costly to tool and you'd need to spread it out over far more than the typical 5-10 group buy numbers.
BTW, I'm probably just as cheap, if not more so, as you ;-)
