Started it up for the first time in two weeks, and car shows service in 1 day notification along with a check engine light today. Have an appt. On Thursday already to take it in for teannual service.

I am wondering if the check engine light comes on by default when the car is less then x days due for service, or if this could be something else.

 

Could be anything, did you double check your gas cap? Might not have the proper vacuum.
